Living Water Missions Trips

Haiti Trips
We are seeking God about sending teams to this earthquake stricken country.  We want to show God's tender & practical love to the Haitian people.

The trip dates published earlier have been postponed.  Please join with us as we talk to Jesus about how to best respond to the catastrophic need.

The following email was received (on Fri Feb 5) from our Foursquare Missionary contacts (Charlie & Darla Finocchiaro) in the area.  Continue to pray for the Haitians, the Caribbean leadership, and our Spirit-led response.

I just got the latest information from the Foursquare Missions advance team.

They are asking for all the Foursquare churches to be patient so that they can better coordinate their long-term efforts. This will also help national president Guy Thomas, who won't have to run around with the many teams who want to come, until all is in order.
At this point, Caribbean Area missionary Dave Stone has requested that no teams come until about March 1st.
Currently an engineer is assessing the damage to the church, and will give recommendations on the necessary repairs. No work is to be done until the engineer has made his assessment.  There are 10 people living at the church.  There are 28 Foursquare families living in various tent cities, and only one woman who is living in a tent by her home. Dave says that it would not be helpful, nor practical, to have teams come and live in tents nearby any of the destroyed homes.

Since I'm submitted to Dave Stone, my direct supervisor, I'm not authorized to facilitate any Foursquare church teams going into Haiti until they give the green light... which is probably about March 1st.  At that time, a temporary base camp of tents at Guy's church will likely be constructed. The next phase is to make the base camp permanent by constructing a block building on Guy's property that will later be used for classes.

Sorry for slowing you down on this, but we want to work as a team.
All teams will be coordinated by Dave Wheeler at Foursquare Missions and Dave Stone, Caribbean Area Missionary.
