BURT & JAN SMITH - Senior Pastor
Pastor Burt and his wife, Jan, have been in the ministry for 38 years.
They pioneered and pastored Little Country Church in Redding, California, which grew from seven families to 5,900 members, built a Christian day school and high school. They have been the senior pastors of Church of Living Water in Olympia, Washington, since June of 1991. Pastor Burt served as a Divisional Superintendent, later as the Supervisor of the Evergreen District of Foursquare Churches and is a member of the Foursquare National Church Cabinet and Board of Directors.

Pastor Burt has a unique way of taking complex concepts and making them understandable, useful, practical, and attainable. He challenges those around him to achieve the high destiny that God has for each of us. He is known for his ability to motivate people to excel in their God-given gifts, calling and abilities. Pastor Burt’s commitment to training and mobilizing Christian leaders makes him a favored speaker at Christian leadership seminars, workshops and pastors’ conferences.

The Smiths have been married 40 years; have three married daughters and six grandchildren

JON & FAWN COBLER - Lead Teaching Pastor
Serving as the Lead Teaching Pastor at the Church of Living Water
is an honor considering that my first exposure to ministry began right here. After finishing high school in San Diego, CA, I came to Olympia
to participate in Living Water's Immersion Discipleship Programs called Anthem (known then as Master's Commission). I had left my high school love, Fawn, in San Diego where we had met, but she soon followed toward the end of my internship and we were married here a year later.

It was during my internship at Living Water that I received the call to lay down the future plans I had made in exchange for service to Jesus and His Church, and it has been my desire since to fulfill that call with love and integrity. Over the years Fawn and I have served as Young Adult pastors, Director of intern programs, furthered my education at Life Pacific College in CA, spoken at conferences and retreats, and most importantly fostered an amazing family with three boys and one little girl.

It was a dream come true when we were invited back to Living Water to serve under Pastor's Burt and Jan. They mentored us during our years of service at Living Water as well as while we were away; they have been a spiritual father and mother as we advanced in ministry.

Fawn and I love the Northwest, we love the potential of Living Water and we love the impact this church has had on this city for the past 75 years. The best is yet to come!
